There is a link this post, towards the end, that takes you to the archive page. You click to have them prepare the archives, then come back and click to download.

Go here: http://www.xanga.com/private/archives.aspx and click on "Update Archives" button. Your archives should be updated in a day or so. You have to go back to that link yourself and see if the zip files appeared. Once you see zip files of your posts, audio, video, photos, etc. - all you need to do is click on them to download them.
@BooksForMe - @KnightInCROATIANarmor - . Thank you for the helpful information. I know this is naive of me, but does it also download the comments from others on each post? Sounds like quite a job.
